There is nothing better than giving back! The following charities are ones I support which are related to my writing in some way.

AMERICAN RED CROSS

The American Red Cross exists to provide compassionate care to those in need. Our network of generous donors, volunteers and employees share a mission of preventing and relieving suffering, here at home and around the world, through five key service areas: disaster relief, supporting American military families, livesaving blood, health and safety services, international services.

As part of a collaborative effort, I joined with other authors in 2014 to release REACHING OUT (pub’d under the pen name Abigail Owen). This is a short story anthology of contemporary romances featuring military or relief work in some way. All profits from this anthology go to benefit the American Red Cross.

First Book is a charitable organization close to my heart. First Book provides access to new books for children in need. To date, First Book has distributed more than 100 million books and educational resources to programs and schools serving children from low-income families throughout the United States and Canada.

As a child I was supported by my family to grow my passion and love for reading which has allowed me to follow my dream  and become an author. I encourage you to help make a difference in children’s lives by giving them the opportunity to read and grow.
